Chris O’Hare is the 2015 European Indoor Bronze Medalist, 2014 European Bronze Medalist and 6th place finalist in the Commonwealth Games 2014. In 2013 he qualified for the final of the World Championships finishing in 12th place, a year in which he also won the UK Championship.
He holds Scottish records for the indoor mile and 1500m in which he also holds the Scottish Native record.
Whilst a student athlete at The University of Tulsa, trained by coach Steven Gulley, Chris was the first Scottish athlete to win an NCAA Track Championship in the indoor 1500m. He broke the NCAA records to become the fastest ever athlete over 1500m and mile distances.
In 2013 Chris graduated from the University of Tulsa with a degree in Sports Science and signed a professional contract with Adidas as an elite global athlete. He is currently based in Boston USA and trains at Harvard University Campus with Head Coach Terrence Mahon.
I would love to be the next GB 1500m Olympic Medalist and be a source of inspiration to many young athletes
